Hello Parents,

Students are required to get your input on what you believe is significant in Black History.

Please add at least one posting discuss what you think is important to Black History.

Your child will gain ten additional points for his or her project.

Please take the time to see what your child is doing by checking the Stephens High School-8th Grade Page.

Thanks,

I feel that Black History is very important to our Africian American Heritage because it tells of our forefathers/mothers. How hard it was for them to get an education, and even through it all the achievements and contributions they gave to America. I personally learned alot about Dr. George Washington Carver, that I never knew. And it makes me proud to be as Africian American on so many different levels.

Thanks Mrs. Washington for commenting. I feel that it is excellent for parents to get involved in their child's work. I hope the students have found this project meaningful.

Keyonte Akis' Parent:

I think Black History is significant because it shows us, as a people, where we come from. It also helps us to understand the struggles of our forefathers. I think it is important to show people of all races the important inventions, strides, and writings of African Americans. As a matter of fact I think it is and should always be a requirement that every school do something momentous for Black History.
